Tanya Haffern
Motherhood has changed Tanya’s focus from corporate to childhood education. In 2009, based on an idea Tanya had, she decided to start her own business with her husband Quentin developing educational DVDs. A big believer in the importance of early childhood education, Tanya is inspired by Explore Play and the possibilities it offers to change the lives of children by ensuring they are correctly stimulated by their caregivers during the crucial early years of their lives.
As the Executive Producer of the Explore Play series, Tanya has had to consider how to effectively change existing mindsets about toys, television and play and how to empower parents and caregivers with practical advice, enabling them to become the experts on play in their own homes. A key challenge has been to prove that everyday household items can and will facilitate sophisticated learning. Tanya’s passion for the Explore Play series along with her personal experience as a mother has enabled her to incorporate meeting the very real challenges of modern day parenting into the primary objective of the series.
