At Explore Play, we’re a group of parents who know what it’s like raising children in today’s world. There’s less time to spend with family and increasing pressure to spend more money on our children with expensive toys that supposedly do everything!
In our quest to be great parents, we looked for a product that combined child development theory with easy-to-digest practical advice and demonstrations so that we could be sure the valuable quality time we spent with our babies and toddlers was optimised – but couldn’t find one!
So we went about creating one - what began as the brainchild of creative mom Tanya Haffern has evolved into a product unlike anything else that is currently available to parents and caregivers. With the help of her husband Quentin, whose immeasurable contribution was the filming and production of the DVD series, and Play Therapist Shannon Eggers, who expertly researched and developed content, the DVD series incorporates the fun aspect of play with the teaching capacity of an educational DVD.
By creating the Explore Play series, our aim was to empower parents and caregivers with ideas for innovative, cost-effective games and activities that stimulate and encourage optimal development while providing sound parenting advice and guidelines for rich, creative and meaningful play.
